Tool Manager (Assembly Manager)

The new 'Tool Manager' is an extension of Assembly Manager and has been developed to increase the possibilities for data management, tool visualisation with multi-level tool structures, and the ability to generate specific tree hierarchy structures that will ultimately allow the creation of partial BOM’s. The new 'Tool Manager' will also bring greater collaboration between native and foreign data management as the assembly structure can be imported and exported to/from other CAD formats. The major benefits are :

• The ability to define a multi-level tree structure to manage parts with hierarchy
• The parts tree can be populated from Mould/Progress and from layers or group of layers
• The ability to import part information and tree structure from other CAD formats
• Data export with assembly structure
• The Part List tree can be “filtered” from the Tool Manager tree and only the relevant parts will be transferred to the part list table
• The tree structure can be manually defined and stored in the WKF file or saved externally to an XML file
• The ability to manage the geometry attributes (graphics and part list information) in the property tree

Insert Element Enhancements

The Insert element interface has been updated to provide a more user friendly interface that allows faster selection of catalogue components and standard elements. The new changes are very useful, especially in the case of large catalogues with a large number of categories and standard elements.

To provide more flexibility during the standard elements insertion we have also added the ability to modify the position of standard element directly from within the tree. To do this, it is only necessary to select and edit the XY co-ordinates from within the standard element position dialog.

Cooling Elements

The cooling component insertion and plotview representation has been redesigned for VISI 19 to provide a dynamic preview for each cooling component, and a correct detail view when producing 2D drawings.

Param_NG

The Param_NG engine has been extended to manage additional Assembly Manager fields for standard components. This is a special request to satisfy Meusburger and other catalogue suppliers.
